THINK THERAPY 1st RECRUITMENT REGISTRATION FORM

Please Note – When you register for work through Think Therapy you do so as an independent/private contractor that we refer to as an ‘Associate’. In which case you must either be set up as a Limited Company or under an Umbrella Company (that can process VAT exemption as the work you do through us is clinical and therefore not VAT chargeable), or set up as a Sole Trader/Self Employed in order to manage your pay and invoice us. The majority of Umbrella companies cannot accommodate the VAT exemption – we know of some that do, so ask if this would be useful.

Think Therapy 1st can offer you a payroll service. In order to achieve this, we have to deduct 15% off the usual fixed fee rate, as by offering a payroll service, we will be liable to pay your employer NI contributions at 13.2% and the remaining 1.8% is the charge of us administering our payroll service for you. This does not make you an employee, you remain a contractor but paid via our payroll, therefore, tax and NI will be deducted as per your code – likely to be Basic Rate if you have another job.

As a private contractor/associate you will need professional indemnity insurance – RCOT offer this if you are using an Umbrella company or registered self employed, but if you are set up as a Limited Company you will also need Public Liability Insurance. Limited companies also need ICO registration for GDPR reasons – so please register if you have not already done so – it costs in the region of £40 per year.

To meet our compliance requirements and therefore to be eligible for work for Think Therapy 1st please return copies of the documents and indicate you meet the requirement in the table below – insurance documents are only needed when we allocate you a case so these can wait until that point.
